Dear Network Partners,
We continue to be grateful for your strong partnership to feed our neighbors during this challenging time. As we all adjust and find ways to continue in service, you continue to be an inspiration and a source of hope for so many in our community.
The Foodbank continues to monitor and respond to all guidance to ensure the health and safety of our partners, staff, and community. As of today, Summit County (where the Foodbank warehouse is located) has been deemed a Level 3 in the state of Ohio’s health advisory system. This means that face coverings will be mandatory in all public places in Summit County, including at the Foodbank.
What this means for our network partners:
- Starting Monday, July 13 - all Network Partner representatives must wear a face covering while loading their order into their vehicle and/or shopping MarketPlace
- If a network partner representative does not have a face covering upon exiting their vehicle, a mask will be provided
- Network partner representatives unable to wear a face covering will be asked to remain inside their vehicle
- This requirement will remain in effect for the duration of required state, county, and/or city ordinances
General Reminders:
- If your organization temporarily closes your food program or makes changes to the days and times of distribution, please contact the Network Partners and Programs team at 330.535.6900.
- We ask our network partners to continue emphasizing to your staff and volunteers to maintain personal hygiene practices and ensure compliance with statewide health policies.
- Please be mindful of social distancing when picking up orders at the Foodbank. Maintain a distance of 6 feet from Foodbank staff, National Guard members, and other partners picking up their orders.
Best Practices:
- If your staff or volunteers are ill or exhibiting symptoms, do not send them to pick-up your order at the Foodbank and do not allow them to help at your program
- Keep your hands clean by regularly washing them in hot water and soap for a minimum of 20 seconds. This is especially important after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing into your hand, or using the restroom.
- Wear a mask when in public places and when outdoors but unable to maintain social distance from others
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home from work and/or your hunger-relief program if you have flu-like symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea or fever.
- Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
- Get adequate sleep and eat well-balanced meals to ensure a healthy immune system.
- Use sanitizer or sanitizing wipes to keep surfaces clean that multiple people will touch, like tables, counters, phones, pens, etc.
