The 15th annual Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, benefiting the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, will be held on Sept. 13 from 5:30pm-9:00pm at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.
Guests will enjoy a strolling cocktail hour featuring local restaurants, wineries and breweries while bidding on auction items. Following the cocktail hour is a seated dinner inside the Nash Family Event & Conference Center, and will include a memorable panel discussion with legendary Hall of Famers Isaac Bruce, Steve Largent and Randall McDaniel. The evening will conclude with a dessert reception and live music by Better Monday.
This exciting evening is anticipated to bring together nearly 400 community members committed to supporting local hunger-relief efforts. The event creates awareness about food insecurity in the Foodbank’s eight-county service area, while also raising funds to continue the local fight against hunger. Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame is the Foodbank’s largest annual fundraising event.
“We’re grateful to bring together so many friends committed to the Foodbank’s mission,” said Dan Flowers, president and CEO of the Foodbank. “This event exemplifies the extraordinary outcomes possible through community partnerships. Because of community support, the generous food purveyors, event sponsors, volunteers, staff and the outstanding legends of the NFL, your Foodbank can feed people and fight hunger. Together, we can be there for families facing food insecurity.”
Tickets are sold out for the event, but the community can still support the Foodbank by bidding on silent auction items on the interactive auction website. Bidders do not need to attend the event to win auction items. The auction will be live on Sept. 6 at akroncantonfoodbank.org/taste.
